This recent series titled "Good Housekeeping" is my artistic response to staying home all the time during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using only vintage found imagery each collage weaves common house plants with a single female figure resulting in a combination that explores themes of Domesticity and Eco-Feminism. House plants have long been a part of my surroundings beginning with my maternal grandmother whose plants I have in my home today. During the pandemic I have spent much time tending to my indoor garden and reflecting on the role of our home environment and the things we do to make it our personal space. The plants in these collages provide comfort, companionship and protection in an attempt to reclaim these vintage photographs taken my men decades ago.
