"GIFed Out" is a series of hand-cut collages featuring vintage pin-ups that have been stop motion animated. Through this series, I aim to explore the intersection of nostalgia and technology, and to challenge the ways in which we think about both. The vintage pin-ups, with their retro aesthetic and nostalgic charm, represent a bygone era and the cultural values of a different time. By animating them through stop motion, I seek to bring these images into the present moment and to give them new life. Through this process, I hope to encourage viewers to consider the ways in which the past and present intersect and influence one another, and to question the ways in which we think about technology and its role in our lives. "GIFed Out" is a celebration of the past and a meditation on the present, and an invitation to consider the ways in which they intersect and shape one another.
